About Us
St. Aldhelm’s Orchestra was formed over 40 years ago and rehearses weekly in St. Aldhelm’s Church in Branksome, Poole, Dorset. The Orchestra aims to provide an opportunity for amateur musicians to play standard orchestral repertoire, develop musical ability, enhance ensemble playing skills and contribute to the local cultural amenities.
We are a registered charity and our aim is to develop education and appreciation of music, including through the presentation of concerts to the local community, in order that they may share in the joy of live music.

Mission Statement
St. Aldhelm’s Orchestra aims to make classical music at a high standard in a friendly and fun environment that both challenges the musicians and develops ensemble skills under the direction of an experienced and supportive MD and board of trustees.
